AI Listing Copywriter
Etsy-ready titles, descriptions, tags, and materials — grounded in your real product data
Listing copy from the product you actually make
The copywriter drafts a complete Etsy listing — title, description, tags, and materials — from what Ardent Seller already knows about your product: its name, variants, attributes, label ingredients, and the real recipe behind it. That grounding is the point: the materials list comes from your recipe, not from guesswork. You review and edit everything side by side, then copy it out or save it to the product.
Where to find it
Open any product from Deliver → Products and look in the product's marketplace section — the "Generate Listing Copy" button is there for Etsy-linked and unlinked products alike. It appears on sellable items only (products and services; see Sellable vs Purchasable), and only while the AI listing copywriter consent toggle is on.
If the product already has Etsy copy, the copywriter runs in refresh mode — it reads your current title and description and improves on them rather than starting cold.
Optional setup: tone, audience, and emphasis
Before generating you can set a tone — warm-handmade (the default), minimal, or playful — plus an optional audience hint ("gift shoppers", "bridal parties") and an emphasis ("push the organic ingredients"). Your choices persist as account-level defaults, so once the voice sounds like your shop you never have to set it again.
What it generates
| Output | Details |
|---|---|
| Title | An Etsy title within the 140-character limit, with a live character count in review. |
| Description | A sectioned description: hook, details, materials and care, variants, and a shop note — structured the way strong Etsy listings read. |
| 13 tags | Etsy's full tag count, each within the 20-character limit, with alternates to swap in. |
| Materials | Built from the product's real recipe. Recipe-derived entries carry a provenance chip; model-suggested extras are included unchecked by default so nothing unverified slips in. |
| Rationale | A short explanation of the choices made, so you can judge the draft instead of just trusting it. |
Click generate and you'll see "Writing your listing…" — a draft typically arrives in 5 to 15 seconds and opens in a side-by-side review where every field is editable.
Two ways out: copy it or save it
- Copy out — per-field copy buttons plus a copy-all, ready to paste into Etsy's listing editor (or anywhere else) yourself.
- Save to product — writes the approved copy onto the product's marketplace fields in Ardent Seller, with the change audited. The generated title never silently renames your product: your inventory name only changes if you tick the explicit "also rename product" checkbox.
Publishing is manual either way — the copywriter does not push copy to Etsy or create Etsy listings, so your live listing changes only when you paste the copy in yourself.
What it costs
Each successful generation uses 1 unit of your monthly listing-copy allowance (5 on Free, 40 on Maker, 120 on Artisan, 300 on Workshop) or 1 credit on Pay As You Go. Failed or refused generations cost nothing — you only pay when a draft is produced. See AI Features for the full allowance and credit model.
What is sent — and what never is
Generation sends the product's public-facing details to Anthropic (Claude): name, description, price, category, net contents, variants and attributes, label ingredients and allergens, your existing tags and materials, recipe ingredient names, your current Etsy copy (in refresh mode), and your tone preferences.
It never sends your costs, margins, quantities on hand, customer data, or vendor names — and your data is never used to train AI models.
Limits & honesty rules
- One product per generation, and it works from your product's text data — it does not analyze photos.
- Materials stay honest — recipe-derived materials are re-checked against your actual recipe on the server; anything the model suggested that can't be traced is demoted to "suggested" and left unchecked.
- No risky claims — medical and therapeutic claims ("heals eczema", "cures headaches") are banned and screened out server-side.
- No traffic promises — good copy helps shoppers understand your product, but no tool can guarantee Etsy search placement or sales.
