Measure Guide
Reports and analytics to understand your business performance
Overview
The Measure section provides comprehensive reports to understand every aspect of your business. All reports can be filtered by date range and location. Most reports include export options for PDF or CSV output.
Common Report Filters
Most reports share a common filter bar at the top:
- Date Range — select a start and end date, or choose a preset (This Month, Last Month, This Quarter, This Year, etc.)
- Location — filter to a specific location or view data across all locations
- Export — download the report as PDF or CSV
Financial Reports
Income Statement
High-level summary of revenue, cost of goods sold, and operating expenses for a period.
Shows Revenue, COGS, Gross Profit, Operating Expenses, and Net Income
Select period: monthly, quarterly, or annual view
Filter by location to see per-location financials
Compare to prior period for trend analysis
Profit & Loss
Detailed profit and loss statement breaking down every revenue and expense line item.
Revenue section: Gross Sales, less Returns & Allowances, less Discounts = Net Sales
COGS section: Beginning Inventory + Purchases - Ending Inventory
Operating Expenses broken down by category (labor, rent, utilities, marketing, etc.)
Other Income/Expenses section for non-operating items
Month-to-date vs Year-to-date comparison columns
Sales & Expenditure
Quick overview of total sales and total expenses for a period.
Sales breakdown by product, category, and customer
Expense breakdown by category with largest items highlighted
Average transaction value and transaction count
Period-over-period comparison
Donations
Track charitable donations for tax deduction documentation.
Lists all donation transactions by date and charity recipient
Shows donation amounts and descriptions
Totals by charity for easy reporting
Export for tax records
Inventory Reports
Inventory Valuation
Determine total inventory asset value across all categories and locations.
Shows each item with quantity on hand, unit cost, and total value
Subtotals by inventory category (ingredients, products, equipment, etc.)
Subtotals by location for multi-location businesses
Grand total inventory value for balance sheet reporting
Stocktake Report
Review physical count results and variance analysis from stocktake transactions.
Summary of total items counted, items with variances, and items matching
Per-item detail: system quantity vs physical count with variance amount
Variance highlighting: positive (green) for surplus, negative (red) for shortage
Links to the Guided Stocktake workflow for performing new counts
Price List
Current product and service pricing for distribution or internal reference.
Lists all active products and services with name, SKU, and current price
Shows cost per unit and profit margin percentage for internal use
Sortable by name, price, or margin
Export as PDF or CSV for sharing with customers or for price tags
Equipment Reports
Equipment Usage Summary
Track how equipment is used across production runs for a given period.
Summary cards: total equipment tracked, total usage hours, and most-used equipment
Per-equipment detail: times used, total hours, and average hours per use
Date range filter with presets (this month, last month, this quarter)
Location filter for multi-location equipment
Footer row with totals for usage count and hours
Equipment Replacement Planning
Monitor equipment lifespan and plan replacements before equipment fails.
Three status categories: In Good Condition (<25% used), Moderate Wear (25-75%), Needs Replacement (>75%)
Summary cards show count of equipment in each status category
Per-equipment detail: purchase date, expected life, total hours, lifespan percentage with progress bar
Color-coded status: green (continue use), amber (budget for replacement), red (plan replacement soon)
Based on 2,000 work hours per year assumption
Only includes equipment with "Useful Life" configured
Depreciation Schedule
Track equipment depreciation for tax reporting and asset management.
Shows each depreciable asset with purchase date, acquisition cost, and method
Calculated values: annual depreciation, accumulated depreciation, current book value
Remaining useful life in years
Residual/salvage value display

Traceability & Audit
Traceability
Track inventory movement and batch/lot information for food safety and regulatory compliance.
Forward traceability: what products were made from a specific batch of ingredient
Backward traceability: what ingredients went into a specific finished product
Shows the full chain: purchase → production → sale with batch numbers at each step
Columns: item name, batch/lot number, source, destination, date, quantity, unit
Essential for food safety recalls and supplier issue investigation
Audit Trail
Comprehensive change log of all modifications to your business data.
Shows every create, update, and delete action across all records
Columns: date/time, user who made the change, action type, changed fields with old and new values
Filter by entity, date range, user, or action type
Searchable for investigating specific changes
Export audit logs for compliance documentation
Tax Reports
Schedule C
IRS Schedule C (Form 1040) - Profit or Loss From Business report for US taxpayers.
Part I - Income: gross receipts, returns, COGS, other income, gross income
Part II - Expenses: categorized by IRS tax categories with line number mapping
Part III - Cost of Goods Sold: beginning inventory, purchases, ending inventory
Tentative Profit and Net Profit/Loss calculations
Shows business information (NAICS code, description, accounting method)
Flags uncategorized expenses for review
Filing guidance: lists required forms (4562, 8829, SE, 8995)
