The Shopify connector for makers whoknow their true costs

Paid orders become sales with every line matched to your products. Stock stays in step at every store location. Recipes and materials tell you what each sale really earned.

Included on every plan, including Free. No credit card required.

The term “Shopify” is a trademark of Shopify Inc. This application uses the Shopify API but is not endorsed or certified by Shopify Inc.

From store to synced in three steps

No CSV exports. No retyping orders. No guessing which location the stock is in.

  1. Install and approve

Install from the Shopify App Store, or connect from Settings with your store’s myshopify address. You approve access on Shopify’s own page; no password sharing.
  2. Map locations, link products

Match each Shopify location to one of yours. Products come in on their own and link to your inventory by SKU; link the rest with a click.
  3. Sell, make, and stay in step

Paid orders import every 15 minutes as sales that move stock and carry cost of goods. Finish a batch or sell at a market and the store’s quantities follow.

Everything the connector does

One connection, wired to the rest of your inventory, recipes, and reports.

Paid orders become sales

Each order arrives with its line items matched to your products, discount, tax and shipping recorded, and the customer matched or created. Stock moves at the right location.

Stock in step, per location

Map Shopify locations to yours. Quantities push to each mapped location separately, minus a safety buffer you set, whenever inventory changes.

Products linked by SKU

Products and variants pull in every six hours and link to your inventory items by SKU automatically. Link the rest by hand, one variant per row.

True cost on every sale

Recipes, materials and production runs give every product a real cost, so each imported order shows what it earned, not just what it billed.

Shopify and Etsy, one inventory

The same product listed in both places shares one inventory item. Sell it on either channel and the other one hears about it.

Daily reconciliation and a sync log

Every day the connector compares what it expects at each location with what the store holds, and logs any difference with a reason. Nothing drifts silently.

Not yet: Shopify Payments payouts and fees, and per-product view analytics. Both are on the roadmap; the sync guide lists exactly what moves and what does not.

Stop running your store from a spreadsheet

Shopify knows what sold. It does not know what it cost you to make, or how much wax is left on the shelf.

Spreadsheet workflow

  • Export orders every week and retype them into your books
  • Update store quantities by hand after every batch, and forget one
  • Guess at cost of goods from last year’s material prices
  • Oversell at the market because the online stock never came down
  • Discover at tax time which products actually made money

Ardent Seller workflow

  • Paid orders import on their own as sales with matched line items
  • A finished production run raises the store’s quantity at that location
  • Cost of goods comes from the recipe, priced at what you actually paid
  • A market sale lowers the market location, and the safety buffer covers the rest
  • Profit & Loss and Schedule C reports include every store order

Built to Shopify’s current app requirements

Managed installation, short-lived tokens, and the privacy webhooks Shopify requires of every public app.

Approved on Shopify, not here

Access is granted on Shopify’s own pages with a fixed, published set of scopes. Your Shopify password never touches Ardent Seller.

Tokens that expire hourly

Access tokens live for an hour and are renewed automatically. At rest they are encrypted with AES-256-GCM, never shown in the app and never written to logs.

Privacy requests honoured

Customer data requests and erasure notices from Shopify are received automatically, and uninstalling the app ends the connection and its billing.

Common questions

What makers ask before connecting a store.

Does the Shopify connector cost extra?

No. The Shopify integration is included on every plan, including the free tier, with no per-store fees. If you install Ardent Seller from the Shopify App Store you can pay for your plan through Shopify instead; the plans and prices are the same either way, and you are never billed twice.

Does it handle more than one store location?

Yes. Shopify keeps stock per location and so does Ardent Seller. You map each Shopify location to one of your locations, and stock is pushed to each one separately: a production run at your workshop raises the workshop's quantity, a market-day sale lowers the market's. Orders are recorded at the location they ship from.

Will Ardent Seller stop me from overselling?

Ardent Seller pushes available quantity back to your store whenever stock changes, minus a safety buffer you set per connection. If you also sell the same product on Etsy, both listings share one inventory item, and that buffer is what keeps the two channels from selling the last unit twice.

What about Shopify Payments fees and payouts?

Not yet. Today the connector imports orders, products, and locations and pushes stock. Payout and fee statements are on the roadmap; until then, record processing fees through the connection's transaction method percentage, or import payout statements with AI income import.

Can I create Shopify products from Ardent Seller?

No. Products flow one way, from your store into Ardent Seller, where they are matched to your inventory items by SKU. Day-to-day sync writes only inventory quantities to your store; it never creates or edits a product, a price, or a description.

Is my Shopify connection secure?

You approve access on Shopify's own pages, so your Shopify password never touches Ardent Seller. The access tokens Shopify issues expire after an hour and are renewed automatically, and they are stored encrypted with AES-256-GCM. Disconnect at any time from Settings, or by uninstalling the app in your Shopify admin.

Is Ardent Seller endorsed by Shopify?

No. The term "Shopify" is a trademark of Shopify Inc. Ardent Seller uses the Shopify API but is not endorsed or certified by Shopify Inc. Ardent Seller is solely provided by Ardent Workshop LLC.
