What's coming next to Ardent Seller
Ardent Seller is tracking 28 upcoming features across three priority levels — in active development, planned, and under consideration.
Every roadmap item below is pulled from the same feature catalog that drives our features page and competitor comparisons. Items move between Coming soon, Planned, and Under consideration as work progresses — and into the features page once they ship.
Last updated
Coming soon (5)
Active development — we expect these to ship within the next release cycle. Designs are in hand and at least part of the work is on the branch.
Know Your True Costs
·2 itemsAI-Assisted Invoice Import
Drop in a supplier invoice or receipt — PDF, photo, or scan — and get back a pre-filled purchase transaction to review and save, instead of typing in every line by hand.
Planned scope: Matches the vendor to existing entities and each line to inventory by SKU, barcode, or name — creating new records where needed. Allocates order-level shipping, tax, and discounts across items for accurate landed cost. Nothing auto-commits: every import is an editable draft with the source document attached. Available on every plan — included monthly allowance on Free and flat-rate plans, per-use credits on Pay As You Go
Smart Pricing Advisor
Never underprice your products again. Get intelligent pricing recommendations that ensure profitable margins while staying competitive. Identify your highest-margin items and optimize pricing across different sales channels.
Planned scope: Pricing recommendations based on costs, margins, and competitive positioning. Compare scenarios and identify margin leaders across sales channels
Track Everything You Make & Sell
·2 itemsCustom Fields
Track business-specific attributes across your entire operation — inventory details like scent profiles and color finishes, customer preferences like allergen restrictions and favorite flavors, vendor lead times, and more. Filter and organize based on what matters to your unique business.
Planned scope: Define custom fields for inventory (each category can have unique fields), customers (preferences, tags like "Local"/"Wholesale"), and vendors (certifications, specialties). Filter lists by custom field values; structured fields for common needs
Labels & Tags
Organize items across categories with flexible tags: mark seasonal items, bestsellers, promotional products, or supplier-specific inventory. Apply multiple tags to create cross-cutting organization systems that standard categories can't provide.
Planned scope: Apply color-coded tags to inventory, transactions, and procedures. Filter by single or multiple tags simultaneously. Create and manage unlimited tags across all data types
Never Run Out (or Over-Order)
·1 itemSmart Restock Alerts
Avoid overstocking and waste while preventing stockouts. Get intelligent reorder recommendations that balance vendor lead times, seasonal demand, and usage trends to optimize inventory investment and cash flow.
Planned scope: AI analyzes your sales history and seasonal patterns (like holiday rushes or farmers market season) while factoring in how long your suppliers take to deliver. Get recommended order quantities so you're never scrambling before a big craft fair
Planned (8)
Committed and on the roadmap. Scope and design are mostly settled, but coding work has not started or is still early. Timing depends on what's already in flight.
Never Run Out (or Over-Order)
·1 itemPartial Receiving
Accept partial deliveries from suppliers with real-time stock updates and tracking of remaining quantities on order.
Planned scope: Record received quantities per delivery; automatically track backorder status; multiple receipts per PO
Recipes & Production
·3 itemsOrder Boards
Visualize work in progress on drag-and-drop boards — manage purchase orders, production runs, and sales orders by moving cards through your custom workflow stages.
Planned scope: Drag-and-drop cards to track orders from "New" to "In Progress" to "Ready to Ship." Customize columns to match how you work — whether that's by order status, market date, or customer
Product Disassembly
Recover ingredients from unsold inventory — break down overstock, seasonal items, or discontinued products to reclaim components for new uses.
Planned scope: Reverse production transactions for unsold finished goods; recover full or partial component quantities back to inventory
Production Scheduling
Stay on top of orders with scheduled production runs that ensure you have the right products ready at the right time without overproducing.
Planned scope: Calendar-based scheduling shows what to make and when. Identify missing ingredients before you start a batch — no more discovering you're out of vanilla mid-recipe
Customers & Vendors
·1 itemPayment Terms & Credit Management
Manage wholesale customer credit limits and payment terms (net 30/60/90) while monitoring outstanding balances for better cash flow control.
Planned scope: Set payment terms for wholesale accounts (like local boutiques or gift shops). Track who owes you money and for how long — helpful when shops pay on consignment or after selling your products
Marketplace Integrations
·2 itemsShopify Integration
Link your Shopify store to automatically import sales, customer data, and sync inventory levels across both platforms.
Planned scope: Bi-directional sync: orders flow in, inventory updates push back; supports Shopify multi-location if you have multiple warehouses
Square POS Integration
Connect Square POS to track in-person sales at markets, pop-ups, and retail locations with automatic inventory deduction.
Planned scope: Perfect for craft fairs and farmers markets; Square sales automatically recorded as transactions; inventory updated in real-time
Team & Security
·1 itemMulti-Factor Authentication
Protect your account with an extra security layer requiring a verification code from your phone in addition to your password.
Planned scope: Supports authenticator apps (Google Authenticator, Authy); optional or required enforcement per account; backup codes for recovery
Under consideration (15)
On our radar but not yet committed. We're collecting demand, validating the design, and weighing it against everything else. Customer feedback moves things up this list.
Recipes & Production
·1 itemAI-powered Recipe Cost Optimizer
Reduce costs without sacrificing quality with AI-powered ingredient suggestions — find substitutions when materials run low or prices spike, while maintaining your product standards.
Planned scope: Smart alternatives based on inventory levels and pricing; respects allergen and dietary constraints; baker's percentage awareness

Xero Integration

Planned scope: Machine learning detects seasonal patterns and growth trends, factoring in vendor lead times for reorder timing. Confidence scores indicate prediction reliability
How this roadmap works
A short, honest read so you know what to expect.
Where does this list come from?
Every item on this page is drawn from the same feature catalog that powers our pricing, features, and competitor comparison pages. When an item ships, its status flips from "Coming soon" to "Included" and it leaves this page automatically. Nothing here is hand-curated marketing copy — it is the live engineering backlog as we are willing to share it.
What do the three statuses mean?
"Coming soon" means active development — designs are in hand and code is in flight. "Planned" means committed work that has not yet started or is very early. "Under consideration" means we are still validating the design and weighing it against everything else; it is the bucket most influenced by customer feedback.
When will a specific item ship?
We do not publish target dates on individual items because every honest roadmap that ships dates ends up apologising for them. The order within each bucket roughly reflects priority, and items move up the list when paying customers ask for them.
How do I influence what's prioritised?
The single most effective thing you can do is tell us via the contact form which item is blocking you and why. We weight requests from active customers heavily — both flat-rate and pay-as-you-go — and we re-rank "Under consideration" every release cycle.
Will roadmap features cost extra when they ship?
No. Ardent Seller ships every feature on every plan, including the free plan. That commitment applies to roadmap items too — when a feature graduates from this page to the live product, it is available on every tier (subject only to the same plan-level limits on transactions, users, locations, and storage that already apply today).
Why are some integrations only "under consideration"?
Marketplace connectors are expensive to build and maintain. We promote them up the roadmap based on the size of the audience that asks for them and on each marketplace's API quality. See the cards above for the current status of each connector — they move up the list when we hear consistent demand.
Tell us what to build next
Customer feedback is the single biggest driver of what moves from considering to planned to coming soon. If a missing feature is blocking you — or you have a sharper version of one of the items above — let us know.
